If you need temporary housing, go to Airbnb, enter the town where you would like to find it and click on their query line on the home page which is for those who need housing. With HomeAway, you will need to search through the listings for people who are offering their apartments or houses at discounted prices.
According to the rules we have established at the Emergency Services Network, no house or apartment should be listed for more than $100. per week and should be made available for at least one week. The owner of the property is required to follow the rules established by Airbnb and HomeAway. These no cost or low cost accommodations will not be available for more than 30 to 45 days, again at the discretion of the property owners. After that, you will have to move out or make arrangements with the property owner, again only according to the rules established by Airbnb or HomeAway.

Walmart has said it is creating several larger shelters for displaced people, but we don’t have details on that right now.
